VISA and Temporary Residence Permit
New Regulation
Dear students,
there is a new regulation which allows you to stay longer than 90 days, https://www.mic.iom.sk/en/residence/general-information/652-changes-act-residence-foreigners-covid19.html
I am also sharing google translated text from the foreign police
Due to the current situation in Ukraine, the foreign police departments (especially in Bratislava) are overwhelmed with requests from Ukrainian residents, so the deadlines allocated to other foreigners have been canceled repeatedly, which has automatically accumulated cases. At present, according to our information, the relevant OCPs accept, in particular, applications for temporary residence for the purpose of employment, as this is a more complicated and lengthy procedure. However, it is important that due to the extraordinary situation, the stay of a foreigner in the territory of the Slovak Republic is legal even after 90 days https://www.mic.iom.sk/en/residence/general-information/652-changes-act-residence -foreigners-covid19.html. Therefore, there is no reason to worry that the student would get into a situation where she would be illegal in Slovakia. Therefore, I would like to recommend that the student use the system allocated on April 25, 2022, if it happens to be canceled, please contact us.
