Why Study at Our Faculty?

With a 35-year history, the Faculty of Management at Comenius University Bratislava has established a strong reputation in Slovakia and internationally. It is the only faculty in Slovakia included in the Eduniversal international ranking, where it has received four Palmes of Excellence. Our programmes are taught in English and offer students from around the world the chance to study management in a diverse academic community.

Our teaching combines a broad foundation in economics and management with knowledge and skills relevant to today’s organisations. Depending on the programme, students explore areas such as marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, project management, information systems and business law. The aim is to help you understand how organisations work and prepare you to contribute to their development.

Your learning also extends beyond the classroom. Business professionals and company representatives contribute to teaching as visiting lecturers, bringing practical perspectives into academic discussions. The faculty’s connections with employers can also help students find internships and employment opportunities. These experiences allow you to connect your studies with the world of work and make more informed choices about your future career.

You will study alongside classmates from different countries and backgrounds. Working in teams, taking part in discussions and presenting your ideas can help you develop communication, collaboration and presentation skills, as well as confidence in using English in a professional setting. You can also gain international experience through Erasmus+ study exchanges and internships, the ENLIGHT European University Alliance, Blended Intensive Programmes and the faculty’s network of around 190 partner institutions.

The country’s business environment is closely linked to the European economy, creating a relevant setting for students interested in management, business and international organisations. Slovakia is also home to companies operating across national borders, and Bratislava in particular has a strong presence of shared services and business process outsourcing centres. This gives students the chance to learn about the kinds of organisations and career paths that may be open to graduates with a background in management.

From historic towns and castles to mountains and natural areas, there is plenty to explore beyond the city and the university campus. For international students, living here can be both an academic experience and an opportunity to learn about a new part of Europe.
