Project VIOLET by national equality bodies (NEBs), EQUINET, CSOs and university aims to contribute to safe working environment without sexual harassment (SH) and violence on four levels:

programmes including complaint mechanisms at workplaces in selected sectors,

(2) institutional/structural - cooperation among equality
bodies, labour inspectorates, trade unions and other stakeholders to achieve increased reporting rate, protect victims and prevent
prevalence of SH,

(3) legal - proposal of stronger legal protection against SH based on legal analyses, case studies and mapping existing
gaps and

(4) individual - increased awareness about available legal measures and sensitivity towards forms of SH by general public.

To achieve the multi-level impact, project consists of four pillars:

Pillar 2 - SAFE WORKPLACE - based on Pillar 1 develops and implements data-based and individualised prevention programmes at workplaces, including internal codes of conduct, complaint mechanisms, trainings and resource materials;

Pillar 3 - STRONG INSTITUTIONS - building on research and experience from workplaces, continues mapping the loopholes in legal framework and deficiencies in practice of public bodies, creates platform for collaboration among stakeholders and strengthens institutional protection;

Pillar 4 - PUBLIC AWARENESS - empowers individuals to identify forms of SH, step-in when they witness any wrongdoing and use available legal and non-legal measures of protection if they become a victim.
