Andrea Gažová
Mgr. Andrea Gažová, PhD.
Mgr. Andrea Gažová, PhD. has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship since successfully completing her PhD studies in 2013. Her professional expertise focuses on the implementation of process management in Slovak enterprises, as well as the digitalization and automation of business processes. She has participated as a researcher in successful projects focused on process performance measurement and the implementation of processes in practice.
In the practical field, she spent two years working as a lecturer for a consulting company, focusing on process management, related tools, and software support, particularly in the tourism sector. As an expert, she has participated in projects involving the design and modelling of processes across various sectors of the Slovak business environment, as well as in public administration. She is also actively interested in strategic management and its practical application in Slovak enterprises, contributing to the development of case studies from a pedagogical perspective.
As part of her teaching activities, she teaches Strategic Management, Process Management, and Controlling in English, and Managerial Economics in Slovak. Topics of her supervised theses focus on strategy and its application in Slovak enterprises, the application of process management in organizations, intellectual capital, and the implementation of Industry 4.0 elements in manufacturing enterprises.
She is a member of the Research Lab on Industry 4.0 and Management Transformation, which focuses on linking educational activities and ongoing research with business practice. In 2020, she completed certified training in the field of adult education.
