Assoc. Prof. Mgr. Peter Madzík, PhD. currently works as a researcher at the Department of Management FMCU. He received his university education in the field of management at the Catholic University in Ružomberok (Mgr.) and the University of Žilina (PhD.), where he was also habilitated as an associate professor in 2019. He worked as a researcher at the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University in Liberec for more than a year. In the past, he taught the courses Organizational Behavior, Quality Management, Project Management, and Strategic Management.
In his work, he researches predictors of quality - from the identification of requirements through their understanding and transformation to the validation of products and services and the evaluation of satisfaction. In the current research, he focuses on the role of soft skills and creativity in business performance. He is the author and co-author of more than 80 research papers, on which more than 700 citations are recorded. He actively collaborates on research with renowned experts from the USA, Portugal, China, Italy, Iran, Jordan, Morocco, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic. The Emerald Publishing Group awarded his article Customer categorization using a three-dimensional loyalty matrix analogous to FMEA and became the winner of the 2022 Literati Award competition.
He was involved in solving nine projects from the grant schemes of structural funds, VEGA (1x as a principal investigator), APVV, and Erasmus+. He also led more than 20 projects to improve and train employees for economic practice. He is a certified project manager according to Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt) and holds more than 20 certificates and certificates in the field of statistics, quality and information technology. In 2014, the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing awarded him a national prize for the best dissertation in the field of quality. In 2016, the same institution awarded him a national award for the best scientific contribution in the field of quality. In 2022, he was awarded as Top Quality Manager for the public administration sector by this institution.
