Matúš Baráth
PhDr. Matúš Baráth, PhD. currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he completed all three levels of university education. Within his pedagogical activities, he teaches courses including Seminar for Bachelor Thesis, Management I and II, Management Communication, Management and Organizational Behavior. Together with colleagues from the department and practitioners, he founded and teaches a course dedicated to soft skills titled Soft Skills Development for the 21st Century. He specializes in the application and advancement of knowledge management within organizations.
In his scientific research, he focuses on flexible forms of work and their impact on various labor market stakeholders, the issue of Work-Life Balance, the dichotomy of soft and hard skills, digitalization, and public and municipal administration. He is actively involved in research projects; currently, he is a member of the research teams for VEGA projects and a participant in submitted APVV projects. He is the author and co-author of several scientific publications indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. He has over 60 indexed citations in the Web of Science (H-index = 4), more than 80 indexed citations in Scopus (H-index = 2), and over 300 citations on Google Scholar (H-index = 6).
He possesses diverse and extensive professional experience across the state, public, and private sectors. Since October 2024, he has also served as the Secretary and Scientific Secretary of the Department of Management. Since October 2025, he has held the position of Study Advisor for the master's degree trajectory in Human Resource Management. In practice, he is involved in municipal politics and, within the private sector, provides consultancy in process efficiency and corporate management.
