The Taiwan Studies Center in Bratislava is an inter-faculty research platform that aims to promote and shape knowledge and exchange about Taiwan at Comenius University. In cooperation with lecturers from the Faculty of Arts, it will host various academic activities.
Activities will be organised around an overarching theme for each semester. The theme for the winter semester will be "Taiwan as a Contact Zone", for which there will be a public lecture series in English with international speakers, chaired by Doc. Dr. Sascha Klotzbücher from the Department of East Asian Studies. It will be complemented by workshops and roundtable discussions with leading economists.
The upcoming events will be published here. We are looking forward to deepening mutual understanding and academic cooperation between Taiwan and Slovakia.
