Mgr. Peter Marcin, PhD.

Mgr. Peter Marcin, PhD. is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at Comenius University Bratislava, where he completed his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral studies. His doctoral dissertation focused on knowledge transfer from universities through student business consulting. He also connected this topic with practical experience while serving as the manager of the Consulting and Development Centre, where students provided consulting services to companies.

He has been affiliated with the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, with an interruption, since 2017, where he currently works as an Assistant Professor. His teaching activities focus primarily on the development of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial thinking, and the skills required for the creation and development of business activities. In his teaching, he prefers an experiential and interactive approach that actively engages students and connects theoretical knowledge with the solution of practical problems.

He gained international experience through numerous short-term stays at foreign universities and, in particular, during a one-year appointment as a Visiting Professor at the prestigious private university Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. The university regularly ranks among the world’s leading universities in rankings of undergraduate entrepreneurship programs.

He is also actively involved in entrepreneurship outside academia. He gained his first entrepreneurial experience while still at university and has subsequently worked as a founder, co-owner, or manager of several projects and companies. His practical experience covers a wide range of fields, including gastronomy, sports and leisure services, event management, music production, and digital marketing. He also brings experience from different types of businesses into his teaching, enabling him to demonstrate entrepreneurial decision-making and company operations to students through specific real-world examples.
