Mgr. Martina Trang Nguyen Thi Thu
Martina Trang Nguyen Thi Thu holds a Master’s degree in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the Faculty of Management at Comenius University in Bratislava, graduating with honors. She received the Comenius University Rector’s Award for an excellent thesis. Her research focused on the psychological and emotional factors of business exits within Slovak family businesses—specifically, the internal mindset and family dynamics of the entrepreneur when deciding to leave the business or hand it over to a successor. She employed a qualitative research approach, which is crucial for understanding dimensions that go beyond the more easily measurable aspects of the exit process.
Her subsequent research builds upon this topic, focusing on the psychological determinants of behavior during key moments in a business's lifecycle. She explores this subject through her own concept of "business inflection points" and the theoretical PIPB (Psychological Inflection Point of Business) model, which describes these moments as a three-phase process: Trigger – Disruption – Resolution.
At the faculty, she leads seminars for the courses "Management of Start-ups and Small Businesses" and "Development of Entrepreneurial Skills 1."
