Peter Balco

Ing. Peter Balco, PhD., MBA graduated in Radioelectronics and Telemetric Systems from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics at the Technical University of Košice. He obtained his DEA diploma and PhD at C.E.M.-CNRS Montpellier, USTL II, France, specializing in Optoelectronics and Optoelectronic Systems.

He holds a Professional Diploma in Management (MBA Level 1) from the Business School of Comenius University in Bratislava and is a member of The Open University UK. He has extensive experience in managing IT and TELCO operational environments, as well as delivering IT and TELCO projects for large international organizations.

He is a member of the Technical Committee TK 37 at the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology, and Testing. He is a certified internal auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 20001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and TISAX. Additionally, he holds certifications in PRINCE2® Practitioner, ITIL V4, P3O, BPM Practitioner, and TOGAF Certified. He is one of the co-founders of the Slovak branches of itSMF and BPUG SLOVAKIA.

At the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava, within the Department of Information Management and Business Systems, he conducts lectures and practical exercises in Project Management and Project Management Practices in Slovak, English, and French. He also teaches Virtual Reality in Practice, Information Systems Management, and Data, Knowledge, and Decision-Making.

His scientific research focuses on corporate and IT process management, intelligent IT solutions, enterprise architecture, and data analysis.
