Peter Balco

Graduated in radio electrical engineering and telemetry systems at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Technical University of Košice. DEA and Ph.D. defended at C.E.M.-CNRS Montpellier, USTL II, France in the field of optoelectronics and optoelectronic systems.

He holds a Professional Diploma in Management MBA Level 1 Business School CUB, a member of the Open University UK. He has many years of experience in managing IT and TELCO operating environments as well as delivering IT and TELCO projects to large international organizations.

Doc. Mgr. Veronika Gežík, PhD

Doc. Mgr. Veronika Gežík, PhD is an Associate Professor in the field of Management. She graduated from the The Faculty of Natural Sciences, Comenius University in Bratislava (Mgr. In the field of environmental studies). She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Sussex, UK (PhD in Ecological Economics). She completed her studies thanks to the international scholarship of the EU FP5 Framework Project: Integrated Development of Agriculture and Rural Institutions in Central and Eastern European Countries (IDARI 2003-2006).

Within SLOVAKGLOBe Doc. Gežík helped to establish and operate VEEL - the first laboratory of experimental social sciences in Slovakia with the mission to apply experiments of interdisciplinary social sciences in strategic decision making in our conditions. Since 2003, she has been researcher of 10 international projects of the EU Framework Programs and is the author of several international publications. She lectures in the lecture series “Ecological Economics” and “Theory and Methodology of Scientific Work and Writing Impact Articles” at the Institute of Management STU in Bratislava and the Faculty of Management of Comenius University. She completed several internships in Europe and the USA. In 2008/2009, she

worked for 9 months for DG Environment, the European Commission, in Brussels, Belgium, and between 2010 and 2013 spent several semesters in the USA at Arizona State University. She completed her postgraduate studies focused on the development of experimental methods in the USA in 2010 thanks to a grant through the American Fund for the Czech and Slovak Leadership Studies and in 2013 she spent 8 months as a Fulbright Foundation scholarship, research and lecturing program.

She is a member of the European Society for Ecological Economics (ESEE), the International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE), the International association for the study of Commons (IASC) and the MAES Commission at the Ministry of the Environment, Slovakia. She is currently a researcher at Faculty of Management, Comenius University, SLOVAKGLOB and the Institute of Forest Ecology SAS, where she focuses on experimental economics in the field of ecosystem services payments and her research is part of the projects InnoForEst H2020, SIMRA H2020, Cost Actions CA15226 CLIMO, CA15206 PESFOR-W.

Peter Bajzík

Mgr. Peter Bajzik, PhD. - researcher at the Center for Management Development and Applied Research at Commenius University in Bratislava. He completed study stays in Austria (University of Applied Sciences, Upper Austria) and in Ireland. His topic during his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Management, Commenius University in Bratislava was "Mobility and Migration of the Workforce in the European Union," which he worked on during his research stay at Maynooth University, Department of Geography. His research topics include employee training, remuneration, and labor mobility in the EU. He participates in the teaching of Fundamentals of Management, International Management and Entrepreneurship in Europe. He applies knowledge from the field of management also in practice and at the same time in scientific activity.
