Vladimír Valach

Ing. Vladimír Valach, PhD, CFA, MBA
worked for 20 years in banking (ING Bank and Volksbank), where he was in charge of the financial markets and treasury departments. The main activities of the departments included trading & sales, asset-liability management and investing in bank books. ING Bank Bratislava, also during his involvement was one of the most active entities on the local foreign exchange, derivatives and bond markets.  In addition to banking, he worked for 2 years in asset management as CIO and portfolio manager for the PSS pension fund. He teaches subjects related to portfolio management, investment management and trading, where he focuses on the curriculum application of the CFA Institute and the ACI Financial Markets Association. His research focuses on current trends in portfolio management, risk management and algorithmic trading in futures and stock markets, using R and TradeStation software environments.
