4 PILLARS - TELFER SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT within CANADIAN - SLOVAK INTER-UNIVERSITY COOPERATION
Healthier - Happier - Greener - Wealthier
The meetings continued at the Department of Marketing, with assoc. prof. Colin Baril, MBA, A-CSM, Director of Alumni Engagement and Community Partnerships.
Right at the beginning, he introduced us to 2 directions of activities, on the one hand, how they support and sponsor different communities, and on the other hand, the support of the faculty by her graduates.
He was interested in the topic of the Smart Life/Smart City Summit, which I introduced to him in more detailed way, also because it corresponds to their 4 pillars.
However, they pay a significant attention to building family businesses, but also to mining, which is a widespread industry in Canada
Subsequently, Mr. Taha Zarrug introduced us to the IT services they provide as a team for the entire university, including the current tasks they are working on
Negotiations with the Vice-dean for research, Dr. Silvia Bonaccio, where we exchange our experience concerning to our similiar vice-dean agenda will follow soon. Her focus areas are pretty similiar to mine, like diversity and inclusion as well as human resources. Health and happiness are her pillars.
So far, it is also worth mentioning the fact that the faculty also employs people with various disabilities, which contribute to a supportive and inclusive working atmosphere, from which everyone benefits.
In conclusion, I would like to mention the main principles of which they are evidently particularly proud:
- Pride
- Respect
- Integrity
- Sustainability
Thanks to our colleagues from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa for the fruitful negotiations and their time they have spent with us and at the same time for inspiring us by a new, or a different look at common topic.
