This year’s event, themed “Agility Beyond IT: Real-World Applications, Challenges, and Lessons Learned,” will explore how agile principles can be applied across a wide range of industries and organizational contexts. The program will feature three guest speakers who will share their experiences and insights into how agility can drive transformation, collaboration, and innovation beyond traditional software development environments.

Continuing a Tradition of Connecting Students with Practice

Agile Day has become a recognized tradition at the Faculty of Management, offering students the opportunity to meet experts directly from practice, engage in open discussions, and ask questions about real-world applications of agile methodologies. These events are designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional experience, helping students better understand how theoretical concepts are implemented in dynamic business environments.

This year, for the first time, the entire event will be held in English, welcoming both Slovak and international students to participate and network in a global context with internationally recognized experts:

Marko Ranković – General Manager and Executive Director, RPC (Raiffeisen Bank International)
Presentation: Being Agile… every day?
Mr. Ranković will explore how agile principles are applied in banking and beyond, discussing when they add value—and when they may not. His session will invite self-reflection on what it truly means to “be agile” every day.

Claudio Rossi – Change Agent & Agile Champion, Scientific Games
Presentation: The Missing Link – Bringing Business Agility to Life Across Industries
Drawing on examples from fintech, gaming, and healthcare, Mr. Rossi will show how business agility can transform leadership, teamwork, and organizational culture, supported by proven change management models.

Vojtech Bálint – Business Architect, Asseco Central Europe
Presentation: Public Sector – Agile by Dreams, Waterfall by Law
Mr. Bálint will share candid insights from applying agile principles in the Slovak public sector, highlighting both successes and obstacles in navigating regulations, documentation, and procurement challenges.

Networking and Informal Discussion

After the panel discussion, participants are invited to a networking session, offering a chance to continue conversations with the speakers and fellow attendees in an informal setting. This part of the evening provides an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, build connections, and gain deeper perspectives on agile practices in different professional fields.

A Platform for Sharing and Learning

Agile Day 2025 aims to bring together academics, students, and practitioners who are passionate about innovation and modern management practices. The event will provide a space to exchange experiences, discuss lessons learned, and inspire new ways of thinking about agility in today’s complex world.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, share, and connect with experts and practitioners who are shaping the future of agile thinking — well beyond IT.

Participation in the event is free of charge and open to all interested students and guests.
