This topic resonated within the BIP 2023 - Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) (uniba.sk) event held at the Faculty of Management of the Comenius University in Bratislava on October 23-27, 2023. In addition to our faculty, the following university faculties participated this year: UFR Economics and Management, University of Picardie Jules Verne, France and Institute of Sociology, University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. The event was held with the support of the Erasmus+ mobility program, the companies EVIDEN Slovakia, s.r.o.TAYLLOR & COX Slovensko and community association BPUGTM SLOVENSKO.
It is a continuation of the first successful year of BIP which was organized in 2022 by colleagues at the University of Amiens, France.

The BIP 2023 event was attended by 22 students while the content aspect of intensive education was provided by five experts, Zuzanna Neuve-Église, Katarzyna Ponikowska, Samba Diop, Frédéric Delaneuville and Peter Balco.

During the training, the students were divided into working groups and asked to work on the tasks assigned to them. Having used the principles and topics of the PRINCE2® project management methodology, they applied their knowledge of soft skills and freely available resources as well. The output of the training was partial team presentations, on which the teams will be also working in the months of November and December 2023, while further dates for remote consultations have already been agreed on and planned today.

Students discussed and solved assignments related to:

  • new ways of communication, contributions to the segmentation of society and the creation of cognitive bubbles,
  • support of social groups (young people, women, people with disabilities), which are often underrepresented in organizations,
  • managing diversity as a concept that is on the rise,
  • the topic of eliminating social competition,
  • empathy as a tool to improve understanding between individuals:  a tool to help to understand diversity.

In addition to the intensive educational program, the organizers provided an intriguing social program:

  • tours of Bratislava on the train,
  • projects, innovations, science and research in the company EVIDEN Slovakia, s.r.o
  • working meeting on the topic: Diversity and etiquette in the Chez Balzac catering business
  • presentations focused on:
    - linguistic diversity in Slovakia: French is a comparative advantage,
    - negotiating projects aimed at promoting diversity,
  • tasting Slovak cuisine
  • The success of the BIP 2023 event is the result of cooperation of individuals and teams. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the BIP 2023 event.
